This Privacy Notice (“Notice”) covers how Nector Ventures, LLC (collectively, “Nector,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, shares, and processes personal information. If you have any questions about this notice, you can contact us using the information below.Data We CollectWe collect data about you in different ways. For example, we collect data:

• Directly from you. This includes when you create an account, use the Services, purchase a Corporate Membership, sign up to get our emails, or contact us.
• Automatically. This includes through cookies, server logs, and other tools on our website or apps.
• From other sources. These can include our affiliates, vendors, social media, publicly available sources, and other companies.

The following are a few examples of our collection and use of data:

Corporate Membership / Account Registration

What we collect: We collect your name and contact information in connection with your Corporate Membership or creation of an account. When you purchase a Corporate Membership, in addition to the above, we collect your billing information. Your payment card information is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, and is not stored locally by Nector. We also collect data on the actions that you perform while logged in.Primary purpose: We use this data to provide account related functionalities to users and to perform our contract to provide services.

Client Information

What we collect: We collect the name and contact information of our clients and their employees with whom we may interact.Primary purpose: We use this data to contact our clients and communicate with them about business activities such as projects, services, and billing.

Demographics

What we collect: We collect personal data, such as your age or your region.Primary purpose: We use this data to understand our users and potential customers better.

Consumer Financial Profile (Sensitive)

What we collect: During onboarding, we collect self-reported financial-profile information, including marital status; household type and dependents; home ownership; income range; credit score range; insurance types (type only, including whether you have health insurance); investments; and tax refund range. You may also choose to provide optional "better matches" information, including credit card balance, student loans, auto or personal debt, back taxes owed, savings, and monthly budget. We collect and share these optional fields only if you choose to provide them.Primary purpose: We use this information to match you with appropriate providers.

Distance

What we collect: Our apps collect your location from the GPS, Wi-Fi, and/or cellular technology in your device. We reverse-geocode precise coordinates to derive a ZIP code, and we retain the derived ZIP code rather than raw GPS coordinates.Primary purpose: We use this data to understand our users and provide tailored services. In some contexts, our use is also based upon your consent to share location data.

Email Interactions

What we collect: If you receive email from us, we use tools to capture when you open our message, click on links or banners in it, or make purchases after receiving an email.Primary purpose: We use this data to understand how you engage with our messages.

Feedback / Support

What we collect: If you provide feedback or contact us for support, we collect your name and email, as well as other content that you send.Primary purpose: We use this data to receive and act upon feedback.

Job Applicants

What we collect: If you apply for a job, we collect information needed to process your application, including information you provide in your application and during the hiring process.Primary purpose: In some contexts, we are required by law to collect data about applicants. We use this data to evaluate your application or consider you for other positions.

Mailing List

What we collect: When you sign up for our mailing lists, we collect your contact information.Primary purpose: We use this data to share information about our services.

Mobile Devices

What we collect: We collect information your device broadcasts when you visit our website or use our apps.Primary purpose: We use this data to identify unique visitors and understand how users engage with us on their mobile device.

Surveys

What we collect: We collect data you share through surveys. If a third-party offers a survey, the third party's privacy notice also applies to the collection, use, and disclosure of your data.Primary purpose: We use this data to understand your opinions.

Use of our App

What we collect: We collect your username and password, as well as information about your interactions, when you use our App.Primary purpose: We use this data to understand how you use our app. Users should go the settings menu in their mobile device for more information about changing App preferences.

Use of Our Website and Apps

What we collect: Nector and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies, such as pixels and server logs, on our websites and apps. These technologies may collect information about how you engage with the Services, including which links you click or what you type into online forms, your IP address, the website that referred you to us, and data about your device. We may use additional cookies and similar technologies over time.Primary purpose: Nector and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, analytics, and to improve the Services, including to understand how you interact with our websites and apps and learn your preferences. We may also use this data to help detect and prevent fraud.

User Content

What we collect: If you choose to engage in forums, blogs, or other similar features offered by us, we may maintain records about the content you post. This might include comments, reviews, or questions as well as metadata associated with your content.Primary purpose: We use this data to understand your opinions and foster a safe environment on our websites and apps.

Website and App Targeted Advertising Technology

What we collect: We may allow third parties to place cookies or similar technologies on our websites or apps. These technologies may collect information over time and across other websites or services and may be used to deliver advertising tailored to your interests, including advertising about our products or services.Primary purpose: Where required by law, we base the use of third-party tracking technologies upon consent.

For instance, if you purchase a Corporate Membership, we may collect your information to perform our contract with you. We also maintain that data so that we can easily address questions about your Corporate Membership.How We Share DataIn addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this Notice we may share personal data in the following situations:Consumer-Selected Business Matches. When you express interest in a business (a “Partner”), the financial profile you have provided, including any optional details you choose to provide, will be shared with that Partner. We share it with each Partner you expressed interest in so that each Partner can decide whether to accept you as a client.

• Affiliates and Acquisitions. We may share data with our affiliates (e.g., parent company, sister companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control). If a company acquires or enters negotiations to acquire, our company, business, or assets, we may share data with that company.
• Other Disclosures without Your Consent. We may share data to cooperate with law enforcement, participate in a legal process, or for legal compliance. We may share your data to establish or exercise our rights, to defend against legal claims, to investigate, prevent, or act on possible illegal activities, threats to safety of person or property, or a violation of our policies.
• Public. Some of our websites and apps may allow for comments or reviews in a public forum. If you post in these forums, what you share may be publicly available.
• Service Providers. We may share your data with service providers. Service providers may help us to run our website, conduct surveys, provide technical support, process payments, and more. For example, Nector uses iGrad, LLC (“iGrad”) as a service provider to deliver financial-literacy educational content. Through single sign-on, we send iGrad your first name, last name, and email address, which iGrad uses as the match key. Under our agreement, iGrad may use this information only to provide its financial-literacy services, produce and review reporting and analytics, help ensure security and integrity, communicate with users about its services and platform, operate, maintain, and improve its services and platform, debug errors, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. iGrad may not sell or share this information, use it outside those purposes, or combine it with information it receives from others or collects from its own interaction with a consumer, except as permitted by applicable law. Our agreement requires iGrad to provide at least the level of privacy protection required by the CCPA and to return or securely delete this information as described below.

Business and Provider Assessments. Businesses and providers may record reviews or assessments about consumers with whom they interact, including ratings and comments. Nector maintains this information for internal purposes. Consumers do not currently see these reviews or assessments, and they do not currently influence matching.

• Professional Services. We may share personal data with our professional service providers, such as auditors or lawyers.
• Other Disclosures with Your Consent. We may share your data with third parties when you consent or direct us to.

How We Protect and Retain DataNo method of internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure. While we use reasonable efforts to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee its security. If we are required by law to inform you of a breach to your personal data, we may notify you electronically, in writing, or by telephone, if permitted to do so by law. Some of our websites and apps permit you to create an account. You are responsible for selecting a unique and complex password and keeping it confidential. You are responsible for any access to or use of your account by someone who has obtained your password, whether or not you approved of such access or use. Notify us of unauthorized use of your password or account immediately.For personal information shared with iGrad, our agreement requires iGrad to encrypt the information in transit and at rest, maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, notify Nector without undue delay and within 48 hours after becoming aware of an actual or reasonably suspected security incident (including a data breach), and require its subcontractors and service providers to provide protections at least as protective as those in the agreement. iGrad’s third-party data-storage provider also conducts an annual SOC 2 Type II audit of each location used to store personal information. Within 30 days after termination of the agreement or Nector’s request, iGrad must return or securely delete the personal information, subject to legally required retention.We keep your personal data for only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes in this Notice, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of the data, the purposes for which we obtained the data and whether we can meet those purposes through other means, as well as applicable legal requirements.Third-Party Applications/WebsitesWe may provide links to websites and other third-party content or services that we do not own or operate. We have no control over the privacy practices of websites or services we do not own. For details about such third parties’ privacy practices, see their privacy notices.Changes To This Privacy NoticeWe may change our Notice and privacy practices. New notices will be published on our website. To the extent that our Notice changes in a material way,the Notice that was in place when you submitted personal data to us will generally govern that data unless you consent to the new Notice.
